WESLEY CHAPEL (970 WFLA) -- A customer uses a firearm to stop a convenience store robbery in Wesley Chapel.
The Pasco Sheriff's Office says a man who lives near the Marathon store at 26556 Wesley Chapel Boulevard, walked in around 6:40 Thursday morning, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money.
There happened to be a customer in the store with a concealed-carry permit, who shot the suspect in the right thigh.
The sheriff's office says a deputy arrived and took the robbery suspect into custody, with the help of other eyewitnesses. He's been airlifted to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
