Bradenton, Fla. (970 WFLA)- Manatee County will be hosting the National Weather Service's SkyWarn Weather Spotter class on February 8, at 6:30 PM.SkyWarn is a volunteer program with nearly 290,000 trained severe weather spotters.
These volunteers help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service.
The class is free and open to the public. Students and community organizations are encouraged to attend. Class will be held at the Manatee County Public Safety Center, 2101 47th Terrace East, Bradenton.
