Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco says "bad policies" in Indiana are to blame for the murder and dismemberment of Uber Eats driver Randall Cooke in Holiday, Florida.
During an interview with The Ryan Gorman Show, Nocco said his "heart breaks for the family" and that he is "irritated" by the "bad policies" in other states that lead to criminals being released and then moving to other parts of the country to commit more crimes.
Oscar Adrian Solis was recently released from prison in Indiana and put on parole. He had been convicted of auto theft and burglary, has ties to the MS-13 gang, and was involved in a prison stabbing before his release. He moved to Florida to live with his father in January, but failed to register with the state as a convicted felon.
Sheriff Nocco also spoke about the brutality of the murder, calling it "demonic" and a "crime of passion."
"What he did to that human being... you have to have some type of rage, you have to have some type of anger, you have to have issues," he said.
