KCAL-TV Meteorologist Alissa Carlson Schwartz collapsed during a live broadcast on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred just as she was about to deliver her forecast.
Anchors immediately threw to commercial when they saw Carlson Schwartz fall forward and then hit the floor. After eight minutes of commercials, the broadcast did not resume. Instead, the station picked up network programming.
Carlson Schwartz posted a statement on Facebook later in the day, assuring viewers that she will be okay.
"Thanks for all the texts, calls, and well wishes," she wrote. "I am going to be ok!"
It's not clear what caused her to pass out.
