A Florida man was recently arrested and is facing multiple charges after he allegedly bit the head off his girlfriend's python during a domestic dispute.
According to CBS Miami, police arrived at the apartment and heard a woman screaming for them to "just kick the door in."
When they tried to enter, the man pushed back on the door and attempted to hold the woman against her will.
Police then instructed the man to put his hands up, but he refused. They tried using a taser, but it had no effect and the man continued to resist. He swung at the officers, hitting one in the eye.
They eventually put him in leg restraints and arrested him.
After the incident, the woman told police that he had bitten the head off her pet ball python. Police found the headless snake by the door.
The man has been charged with with domestic violence, resisting an officer, false imprisonment, and animal cruelty.
