Man arrested for shooting at employee during meal break at Popeyes

Tallahassee , FL - A Tallahassee man was arrested for shooting at a supermarket employee while on his lunch break from his job at a local Popeyes.

Police arrested 18-year-old Edward Johnson lll after Johnson allegedly shot at a female employee of Fresh 4 Less, a supermarket, while he was on a meal break from his job at Popeyes.

The incident occurred on Monday night, when Johnson and a coworker went to the Fresh 4 Less supermarket located less than two miles from their workplace.

Johnson allegedly got into an argument with the employee, asking her why she was "looking at them," before pulling out a gun and shooting at her.

He then fled the scene with his coworker in a dark colored SUV.

The employee, along with witnesses, identified Johnson as the shooter and surveillance footage confirmed the incident.

Johnson was charged with attempted first degree murder and is being held in the Leon County Detention Facility.
