Florida's First Lady is in North Venice today seeking donations for Florida's Disaster Fund. In its first five days of activation, the Florida Disaster Fund has raised nearly $35-million-dollars in donations to support communities impacted by Hurricane Ian. Casey DeSantis making the announcement while promoting the public-private partnership to fill in the gaps for hurricane victims already using FEMA funds, disaster relief and unemployment. The goal is to help victims long-term. The list of corporate donors includes Walmart, Amazon and Florida Blue.
