One restaurant in Virginia is apologizing after putting out their 9/11 themed food menu, which included 'Pentagon Pie' and 'Freedom Flounder.'
The Clubhouse restaurant quickly became the talk of the town after the manager posted the 'Patriot Day 2022' menu to Facebook. With the 21st anniversary of the attack happening on Sunday, customers were not happy with the release of this menu.
According to TMZ, White apologized shortly after, "I apologize for those I offended with the 9/11 seafood Sunday post. My intention was to bring attention to that horrific day 21 years ago. To honor those who lost so much as well those who gave everything that day. We will have a new theme tomorrow."
The special menu has now been changed out for a football themed menu. So, if you were hoping to head over to get yourself a 'First Responder Flatbread' on Sunday, you will be out of luck.
