Miami-Dade, FL - A man's been arrested after calling in a fake bomb threat to a South Florida public defender's office.
Miami-Dade police arrested 21-year-old Matthew Sanjurio after he called in a fake bomb threat to the Miami-Dade public defenders office on Friday morning.
Police say Sanjurjo made the call around 10:30 a.m., claiming there were four bombs in the Carlos Martinez Building.
Sanjurjo then called the public defender's office a second time stating "I am the one with the bomb," before hanging up.
Shortly before 11 a.m., Sanjurjo called a third time, stating "I want to play a game."
During the calls, Sanjurjo identified himself by providing his personal jail number.
The building was evacuated while the area was searched by City of Miami police and a bomb squad.
Detectives later determined there wasn’t a threat.
Sanjurjo was taken into custody at Miami-Dade County Pre-Trial Detention Center on charges of making a false report or bomb threat against the government or publicly owned property.
