Florida Wildlife Director Loses Arm in Gator Attack, His Second in 10 Years

X-ray photos shared on social media by Florida Gator Gardens show the crushed arm of their park's director of wildlife, Greg Graziani, whose arm was torn apart in an alligator attack. Even crazier, this is Graziani's second alligator attack in the last 10 years.

Although Florida Gator Gardens, where this happened was 170 miles southeast of Tampa, Greg was immediately flown to Tampa General for treatment.

"After receiving a partial amputation of his left arm, he was immediately flown to Tampa General for treatment. The surgeons spent over 9 hours reattaching his arm, creating new vessels for blood flow, and putting plates to hold the bone fragments together." the park said in their Facebook post.

In 2020, Graziani shared graphic photos in a separate Facebook post of the time of a separate alligator from 2013, where he says the reptile almost ripped his arm off.
