Palm Coast, FL - A drug dealer was arrested over the weekend after accidentally calling a county commissioner and trying to sell him drugs.
The Flagler County Sheriff's Office arrested 18-year-old Jack Fisher on Sunday after Fisher showed up to sell cocaine but was instead met by detectives.
Authorities say earlier that day, Fisher called Flagler County commissioner chair Joe Mullins and tried to sell him drugs.
Mullins tells WKMG "the guy said ‘Hey do you still need what you needed the other day?’ and I went ‘What are you talking about?’ It really, really threw me off. I said ‘I think you have the wrong number.’ He said ‘You don’t need the eight ball’."
Mullins says he called the sheriff’s office who asked him to help set up a fake drug deal, telling WKMG "for four hours we went back and forth on text and he finally agreed that he would walk down to the Lake at Birds of Paradise and he would bring the drugs."
Fisher arrived to Lake at Birds of Paradise Sunday evening where he was met with detectives.
Investigators say Fisher attempted to throw the drugs in the lake when confronted by deputies.
According to Sheriff Rick Staly, Fisher didn’t have cocaine but instead 3.17 grams of fentanyl.
Fisher was arrested on a felon drug possession and illegal use of communication device charges.
