Never a dull moment in Florida. One man's 10 am shopping trip at Walmart ended with him leaving on a stretcher after he was seen operating a motorized scooter while heavily intoxicated.
According to Miami Herald, officers encountered the shopper, later identified as Aaron Gregory, 39, "swerving" in the aisles, running into shelves, and "creating a danger" to others.
Footage from the store's security camera shows Gregory swerving through the aisles and nearly hitting people who were shopping.
When he finally put the breaks on his scooter, officers looked into his open backpack, which was in the cart's basket, and found an open bottle of Smirnoff vodka.
When the intoxicated man could not respond to officers and provide his ID, the decision was made for him to be taken to the MPD patrol vehicle via a stretcher.
Gregory was arrested and charged with DUI, disorderly intoxication, and possession of an open container.
