Surfside residents upset the town is not flying a gay Pride flag this month protesting outside Town Hall at 5 o'clock tonight. Former Commissioner Eliana Salzhauer says they flew one last year without incident, there's no reason they can't do it this year too. Four of the five current commissioners say they would support flying the flag, but Mayor Shlomo Danzinger says he's concerned it will lead to other groups -like neo Nazi's- asking to fly "satanic" banners or swastikas. The issue will be discussed at a July 12th meeting where commissioners could create a flag policy.
