Miami, FL - A man working as an app-based massage therapist was arrested on Wednesday for a sexual assault that occurred at a South Florida home in October of 2021.
The victim told police he used the Soothe app to book a private deep tissue message at a Miami home on October 31st, 2021.
The masseuse, identified as Victor Martin, arrived at the victim’s home around 8:40 p.m. and set up a massage table in the living room.
According to the victim, during the massage, Martin attempted to perform oral sex on him without his consent; causing the victim to jump off the massage table, run to the kitchen, grab a knife, and order the man to leave the residence.
Detectives later identified the masseur and arrested him at Miami Police Department’s headquarters.
Records show Martin is licensed by the Florida Department of Health from 2011 to 2023.
Martin is facing a felony charge of sexual battery.
