The Florida Dept. of Education has brought back nine math textbooks that were among more than 50 banned last week because of what was called "an attempt to indoctrinate students."
Officials say the books back on the "approved" list were updated to "align" with the state's standards and had removed "woke content."
The state rejected 54 texts last week because of content described as "impermissible with either Florida's new standards or contained prohibited topics" like Critical Race Theory, Common Core references, or Social Emotional Learning.
FLDOE says the nine books have been updated by the publishers to "align" with standards and to "remove woke content."
