The Dunedin Highland Games are happening this weekend, but it's also the final weekend of the Bay Area Renaissance Festival, and many more events are happening around Tampa Bay.

Dunedin Highland Games and Festival
This will be the 54th annual Dunedin Highland Games and is always such a fun spetacle. There will be events like the hammer throw, solo piping and drumming, pipe band competition, Parade of Tartans, Celtic music, a kids’ area, food and Scottish vendors. The festival will be on Saturday from 8 AM - 7 PM. Tickets will be sold at the gate on Saturday: $20, cash or card. Children 12 and under are free.
SPCA Tampa Bay Pet Walk
The sidewalks of St. Pete will be filled with people and their pets - some of which are in costume as part of the SPCA Tampa Bay Pet Walk. The event is said to happen rain or shine, but they said they would closely monitor the forecast. If you collect $25 in donations for SPCA Tampa Bay, you will receive an event T-shirt. The walk is free and will be from 8:30 a.m.-noon on Saturday at North Straub Park in St. Petersburg.
Chasco Fiesta's Boat Parade
As part of the 10-day Chasco Fiesta Festival in New Port Richey, a boat parade will be taking place on Saturday from 1-3 PM that will end at Sims Park. The rest of the festival, which is the oldest festival in Florida, will also be happening before/after the parade. Take part in live music, carnival rides, and tasty fair foods.
International Chalk Festival
If you've never gone to the Chalk Festival in Venice, you should add it to your to-do list this weekend!
The festival features artists from all over the world and will be held at Venice Airport Festival Grounds from April 1st to 3rd. Throughout the 3-day festival, you can witness incredible chalk artists create oversized masterpieces in chalk and 3D illusion areas. Here are a few photos from years past. There will be a 3D Illusion room that will allow you to walk into art and be a part of it.
