St. Patrick's Day Parade, River O'Green Festival, Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival are just a few of the things you can find happening around Tampa this weekend.
Tampa Bay Times Events, Family & Travel Reporter Sharon Wynne put together a list of things happening around the area this weekend, and there's quite a lot going on.
Of course, The Strawberry Festival is still happening this weekend. This is the final weekend to take part in the sweet festival in Plant City. Indulge in all of your favorite festival treats, including strawberry shortcakes and funnel cakes! With no alcohol served on the premises, it's the perfect activity for the entire family.
Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival is also kicking off this weekend, and if you've ever been, you know all about the tasty treats and great wine you can find! Not only do you get food and wine, but there are free concerts every weekend featuring acts like Three Doors Down and Kansas. This weekend brings Jamaican rapper Sean Paul, on Friday, American Authors, a platinum-selling pop-rock trio Saturday, and on Sunday, Boyce Avenue, a Florida-based band popular for its strong acoustic roots.
Gasparilla Film Festival: The 15th annual festival features film screenings, short collections, and question-and-answer sessions with industry professionals. Each day takes place in a different location in Tampa:
- University of Tampa Ferman Center for the Arts, 214 N Boulevard (March 11)
- AMC Westshore, 210 Westshore Plaza (March 12)
- UT Ferman Center for the Arts and Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park (March 13).
$10-$15 (each), $120 (all film screening pass)

NOW.... for the St. Patricks Day festivities!
On Saturday night, the Rough Riders are taking to the streets of Ybor City to show their Irish pride for the St. Patrick's Day Parade! The parade is free and will be from 7 - 10 PM.
The next day, head down to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park for the River O'Green Festival. Also free, this festival will be along the river walk where you can enjoy music by Paddy O'Furniture, games, food trucks, beer and a leprechaun contest as you watch the river turn green with natural dye.
Unfortunately, Shamrock Fest over in St. Pete has been canceled due to weather.
