This news may not come as a surprise, but there are some new dangerous TikTok trends that everyone should be aware of. One of the new challenges is sending kids to the hospital.
The new 'whoosh bottle experiment' has kids using alcohol and a bottle, which they then ignite to create a 'whoosh' effect.
In East Haven, CT, a child was recently hospitalized after burning himself during this TikTok 'challenge.'
This is one of the experiment that parents should be aware of.
Doctors are also warning against the 'Sleepy Chicken' TikTok trend. This is STRANGE. This isn't even a warning to parents, but more so a warning to ANYONE that would try this.
This trend has people on TikTok marinating or braising their chicken in cold/flu medicine, some using up to half a bottle of the remedy.
Dr. Aaron Hartman, a physician and assistant clinical professor of family medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University, explained why the"trend is dangerous, according to the New York Post
"When you cook cough medicine like NyQuil, you boil off the water and alcohol in it, leaving the chicken saturated with a super-concentrated amount of drugs in the meat.
