Florida Bridge That Was Closed For Weeks In June Had A Scare Over Weekend

The Roosevelt Bridge in Martin County is back open after being shut down a short time over the weekend following concerns about possible new cracks.

Stuart Police say out of caution both the north and southbound lanes were closed in both directions for a couple of hours Friday night.

The Florida Department of Transportation was called to inspect and they determined the bridge was structurally sound.

In June, the Bridge was shut down for several weeks after crews had found cracks.
