A family visiting South Florida suffered a terrifying ordeal over the weekend after a Florida man attacked a family of tourists visiting Miami Beach on Saturday night. Gabriel Alvarez was with his girlfriend, her 16-year-old daughter and extended family when they had a disturbing encounter with the man identified as 38-year-old Milot Richards, and his machete.
Richards appeared in court Monday, charged with six counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
