CLEARWATER -- Police took a woman to jail after a threat to the Seminole Hard Rock Casino.
A spokesman says 54-year-old Adele Belzaire of Spring Hill lost $380 at the slot machines earlier this week, and got mad. According to detectives, she went back to her Clearwater Beach hotel room and placed a call from her cell phone to the casino around 9:30 p.m., claiming she had left a bomb there.
The Seminole Tribal Police called Clearwater cops, who worked to identify the caller. Belizaire was arrested early Wednesday. She allegedly told police she just wanted to "blow off steam" by making the threat and didn't have the ability to place a bomb there. Belizaire is charged with making a false bomb threat.
