A Fusion Club at the Cassells Al Barsha Hotel in Dubai is going viral for their recent promotion.
The club is offering women free drinks based on how much they weigh.
Now I'm all for all free things, but I'm not so sure about this idea.
The last thing I would ever want is to get all dressed up for a night on the town, feel good about myself, and then get weighed upon my arrival to the bar.
According to Insider, "The bar's promotion says for every kilogram a woman weighs, she'll be given one Emirati dirham's worth of free drinks (the currency of the United Arab Emirates)."
$1 in USD equals $3.67 AED at today's conversion rate, which means if you weighed around 150 pounds, you would get $68 AED in drinks, which is about $18.50 in American dollars.
You have two options once you get to the bar:
- Hop on the scale
- Hand the bouncer at the bar your weight on a piece of paper
So the more you weigh, the more you will get to drink for FREE!
An interesting concept for sure, and I'm curious to see how the club does.
