Sarasota, Fla.-(Newsradio WFLA)-Police here have arrested two more teens for that attack on an off-duty Sarasota officer in Payne Park. Detectives say 16 year-old Joshua Adderly and 16 year-old Hudson Redl are both charged with felony battery on a law enforcement officer.
Police say the officer was jogging in the park when he spotted some teens harassing and hitting a homeless person. When the officer identified himself and told the teens to stop, they turned on him. The officer was injured in the attack.
Police had earlier arrested three others in the case. Those three, 16 year-old Scott Lunt, 15 year-old Dexter Williams and 16 year-old Alexavier Lewis are also charged with felony battery on a law enforcement officer.
