Sarasota, Fla. (News Radio WFLA)-The remains of a Sarasota teenager missing since September of 2017 have been found in rural Manatee County.
The Sarasota Police Department say a man repairing a fence line came across the skeletal remains, and called the Manatee Sheriff's Office.
Testing by a forensic dental expert confirms the remains were that of Jabez Spann who was last seen leaving a family gathering on September 4th 2017.
Deputy Chief Pat Robinson from the Sarasota Police Department says police are trying to determine how long the remains were at the location and if Jabez died of natural causes or if foul play is involved.
