Brandon, Fla. (Newsradio WFLA) - A drunk driver injured a Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputy by crashing into the deputy overnight, the HCSO said in a Facebook post.
"During a routine traffic stop last night on Causeway Boulevard, one of our deputies was injured when a separate driver crashed into him from behind. Luckily he is going to be ok but he is sore and will take some time to recover. Pablo Alarcon was transported to the hospital but will be charged with DUI with bodily injury and DUI with property damage. Drunk Drivers do not discriminate. Our Deputy had all his lights on and was clearly visible and he still got hit. PLEASE don’t drink and drive. It is never worth it," the post said.
