Sarasota, Fla.-(Newsradio WFLA)- Sarasota police are looking for a group of teenagers who attacked an off-duty Sarasota officer in Payne Park on Adams Lane.
Detectives say the officer was jogging at the park when he noticed a homeless person being hit and shoved by at least five teens. When the officer identified himself and asked the teens to stop, they turned on the officer.
The thugs hit the officer a number of times before leaving the park. The officer has minor injuries, but will make a full recovery.
