Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio WFLA)-Troubles for drivers on Interstate 275 thanks to an out of control dump truck that overturned.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that 63 year-old Jesus Valdes of St. Pete was northbound on 275 when he failed to stop for other stopped traffic. Troopers say Valdes took evasive action to keep his truck from hitting the other vehicles. That action caused the truck to rotate to the inside shoulder and overturn.
Valdes escaped with just minor injuries. The crash caused extensive damage to the roadway.
Valdes is being cited for careless driving and no seat belt.
