St. Petersburg, Fla. (NewsRadio WFLA)-Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody has announced the latest human trafficking arrests that involve a teen aged boy in St. Petersburg.
She says the Marion County boy had been used as a "sex slave" while being held captive inside a trailer at the Silver Lake Mobile Home Community. Attorney General Moody says the boy was lured by his captors through a video game app.
Seven people have been arrested as part of the eight-month-long investigation. A seventh suspect, identified as Curtis Gruwell turned himself in to St. Petesburg Police this morning. He’s charged with conspiracy to commit human trafficking and interference with custody.
