Florida's Brawling Easter Bunny Has Ties to Pasco County

ZEPHYRHILLS, Florida (WFLA News) -- The man in the Easter Bunny costume shown in a viral video stepping into a fight between a man and a woman Easter Sunday has a lengthy criminal history of his own, according to reports, including an attempt to rent a car using a fake ID in Zephyrhills.

Reports say there's a warrant for 20-year-old Antoine McDonald's arrest for a vehicle break-in in New Jersey last September. He was also accused of committing two burglaries within 12 hours in Delaware.

Pasco County deputies say McDonald tried to rent a U-haul from Rides for You Auto Sales on State Road 54 back on January 30, claiming to be "Hudhayfuh Roberts", age 23. Deputies say he admitted using the fake ID to rent cars and gamble since he was under 21. The deputy was aware of McDonald's outstanding warrant from New Jersey, but he got out the next morning on a $500 bond.

Speaking to WKMG-CBS in Orlando, McDonald said that he was afraid of getting arrested after a police officer broke up the fight but decided he shouldn't run away. "If I have to be arrested... to prove a point that this shouldn't be happening, then so be it," McDonald told the station.
