Clearwater, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A Pinellas County Sheriff's deputy committed suicide early Saturday while off-duty, the PCSO said. It got a call reporting a gunshot in an unincorporated part of Clearwater at about 1:07 a.m., went to do a welfare check, and found Deputy Carlos Felipez dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the backyard of his home. The 46-year-old worked as a patrol deputy. He had worked in the PCSO since February 24, 2014.
