Spring Hill, Fla. (970 WFLA)-A man in Spring Hill suffered severe electrical burns after getting shocked by by high voltage power lines.
According to Pasco County Fire and Rescue the unidentified man was high up in a bucket truck in the 18000 block of Skinner Drive cutting branches when he came in contact with the power lines. Pasco Fire and Rescue says he was conscious and breathing as he was airlifted to the hospital.
According to the Occupational and Safety and Health Administration's web site, if you're planning on doing it yourself, remember any tree trimming work within ten feet of a power line must be done by trained line -clearance tree trimmers. A second tree trimmer is required within normal voice communication range.
