DNA Leads To Hernando Robbery Suspect

McLemore, Mark, Jr.

Spring Hill, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Hernando County deputies have arrested 31 year-old Mark McLemore, Junior, for a 2017 armed robbery thanks to DNA collected from evidence at the scene.

Detectives say McLemore implied he had a gun when he robbed the Walgreens on Spring Hill Drive last October.  A witness attempted to stop McLemore by punching him in the face, but he just kept going.

A sheriff's office K-9 was unsuccessful in locating McLemore, but deputies did find several pieces of evidence.  It was that evidence that turned up McLemore's DNA.

Mclemore, who is a registered felon, is facing charges of robbery with a firearm.
