Sarasota, Fla. (970 WFLA)-Sarasota residents are being reminded to properly dispose of fishing tackle.
The message from the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office comes after deputies found a blue heron tangled in fishing line on Tuesday in the Sarasota mangroves. Watch the video below it was posted on the Sarasota Sheriff Office's Face Book page. It shows a deputy holding the bird while another cuts the line and releases the heron.
