DeSantis Scoffs at Non-Endorsement for Florida Gov

TALLAHASSEE (970 WFLA) -- Republican Congressman Ron DeSantis, who's running for governor, is blowing off House Speaker Richard Corcoran's decision to endorse State Agriculture Commisioner Adam Putnam for the GOP nomination instead of running himself... or backing DeSantis.

His office calls the move no surprise, and a corrupt bargain by Tallahassee swamp dwellers.

In response, Putnam and Corcoran scoffed at President Trump's favored candidate... who appears on national TV interviews but hasn't done much campaigning in Florida.

A reporter mockingly asked Putnam whether the statement by DeSantis' campaign came from "a studio in New York," a reference to DeSantis' appearances on Fox News and national TV channels. "It was a long distance fax number he sent that from," Putnam responded.

Corcoran says he didn't have the money to run a gubernatorial campaign, and since he couldn't go big, he decided to "go home."
