Lakeland, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a hit and run driver after the body of a man is found on the side of westbound Interstate Four, west of U.S. 98.
Troopers believe the man was hit as he was walking along the highway. Investigators say they have found vehicle parts from a front headlight or turn signal at the scene. They say the vehicle involved should have some front end damage. The man killed has been identified as 22 year-old McKenzie Messick of Plant City.
Anyone with information on the hit and run is being asked to contact the F.H.P. at 813-558-1800.
