High-Rise Rescue

Clearwater, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-It was Clearwater Fire-Rescue's Technical Rescue team to the rescue after a window washer got stuck on the side of a high-rise condo building at 440 South Gulfview Boulevard.

The washer was working outside the 13th floor when something happened to his rope system that made it inoperable.  The man was suspended in the air for a while until rescue workers arrived.

The rescue team attached a safety line, broke out a window in a unit below the man, lowered him to that unit and pulled him in to safety. The worker was a bit shaken, but was not hurt.
