Some local Winn-Dixie, Harvey's markets closing

JACKSONVILLE (970 WFLA) -- Several Tampa Bay area supermarkets are about to close down, as the parent company of Winn-Dixie and Harvey's files for bankruptcy protection. 

Southeastern Grocers says it's reached an agreement with most of its lenders to file under Chapter 11. It's shutting down 94 stores, including two Winn-Dixies and a Harvey's in Tampa, and Winn-Dixie stores in Apollo Beach, Bradenton, St. Pete Beach and three in Sarasota. 

582 stores will stay open under various brands, including Bi-Lo and Bruno's.
