Hillsborough students to watch security video

The nine-minute video does not contain any violent images or even the mention of "guns" or "intruders". The only re-enactment is that of a student pushing another student and the witness, telling a teacher about it.  It reinforces Hillsborough school superintendent Jeff  Eakins' "if you see something, say something" advice.

The video also features Hillsborough school safety director John Newman, who explains the different threat levels and how teachers and students should respond.

The district says the video will be watched by teachers and students at the middle and high school levels Friday morning.  In the district's elementary schools, that decision is left to the discretion of each school principal, but it has been provided to all parents.
