Gulfport, Fla. (970 WFLA)- Reports of an armed man in the 2600 block of Miriam Street turned into a homicide investigation after Gulfport Police find a man who had been shot several times.
The 31 year old victim later died at Bayfront Medical Center. It happened around 1030 pm Tuesday.
Police do not have a description of a suspect. The name of the victim will not be released until police can contact his family. If you have any information that can lead to a suspect you are asked to contact Gulfport Police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.
Around 3 am Wednesday, another man was shot and killed, less than two miles away from the shooting in Gulfport.
St. Petersburg Police say one man was found outside a club in the 3000 block of 18th Avenue South. He died at the hospital.
Police have not released a description of a the suspect.
It has not been determined if there is any connection to the earlier shooting.
