Nokomis, Fla. (970 WFLA)- The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is asking if you can identify a suspect who robbed a Nokomis convenience store early Sunday morning.
Deputies say it was just after midnight, June 25th, when the suspect entered the RaceTrac at 410 N. Tamiami Trail and asked for a pack of cigarettes. When the clerk turned around, the bad guy revealed a gun and demanded cash. The clerk handed over the cash and the suspect left the store on foot walking northbound toward Spencer Avenue.
The suspect is a white male in his late 20's or early 30's, approximately 5'8" tall, 170 lbs., with a short brown beard. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a Tampa Bay Rays t-shirt, camouflage shorts, beige hat, and loafer style shoes. He was also carrying a dark-colored backpack.
